On Tuesday, December 2, 2013, the Robot Raiders of Iolani School, one of the competitors in the Hawaii FIRST* LEGO League, performed their winning skit for the NDPTC Course Development and Delivery team
With characters from the popular Disney cartoon Phineas & Ferb, the fourth- and fifth-graders cleverly presented the elements of tsunami preparedness. The team also showed NDPTC staff members "TsunamiDash",a game created by the team to show that tsunami preparedness and readiness can be fun. Coach Takahiko Kimura and his team worked with NDPTC prior to the competition to help educate the team on Tsunami preparedness. Coach Kimura was pleased with his team’s performance as well as the interaction with NDPTC. The Robot Raiders will be competing in the 2013 Hawaii FIRST LEGO League State Tournament on Saturday, December 7th.
