NDPTC is seeking an Instructional Course Designer

DUTIES:  Responsible for designing and developing quality Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) certified training courses utilizing their knowledge of adult learning theories, multiple learning styles, and sound instructional design principles to maximize learner success and ensure the overall effectiveness of NDPTC courses. Works with the subject matter experts and other development staff to review and evaluate training course materials in terms of instructional effectiveness and methods for improving the courses.  Incorporates Section 508 and accessibility requirements into the course development process. Stays current with the latest developments in instructional design theories, new and emerging technologies related to instruction and training, and identifies potential applications for NDPTC courses.  Assists with research, preparation, and submission of documents required by FEMA (e.g., needs assessments, planning analyses, course design documents, etc.).
